Quick yard help,
from a neighbor

Weeds, overgrown alleys, that curb strip that never gets edged. I’m not a landscaping company — just a neighbor with the right tools who can knock out the small stuff, same day.

Am I free right now? Check the light.

It works like Uber or Instacart — except it’s just me. I flip the light from my phone as I head out or step away, so the color below is live. Green means I can bike over soon, amber means I can talk it through now and come by later, and dark orange means I’ve just stepped away. No app to install, no account — just check the color and send a request.

Checking whether I’m free…

One moment — either way, you can always send a request.

I flip this from my phone as I head out or step away — it’s never stale by more than a minute.

The kind of outdoor jobs I take on

Weeds & overgrowth

Pulling weeds, clearing overgrown beds, fence lines, and the alley behind the house that's gotten out of hand.

Trimming & edging

Hedges, bushes, and the grass strip along your curb — with an electric hedge trimmer, pole saw, and edger.

Cleanup & hauling to the curb

Branches, leaves, and yard debris raked up, bagged, and moved to the curb so it's ready for pickup.

Not a professional landscaper — and that keeps it cheap

I don’t design gardens, grade lawns, or take on big installs — there are pros for that, and I’ll point you to one if that’s what you need. What I’m great for is the quick, honest, “can someone just deal with this?” jobs, often for $30–50, with no company van or overhead baked into the price.

Who's actually turning up in your yard

Me. I’m Johanna, and I live a few streets over — same old Southside house for thirteen years now, which is where most of the tools came from and most of what I know about overgrown beds. I’m in my fifties and I’ve worked in IT my whole life, so an afternoon of pulling weeds is genuinely the part of the week I look forward to.

No crew, no rotating roster of strangers, no van blocking your driveway. Just one person who arrives by bike, does the thing, and is probably going to run into you at the Farmers Market anyway.

  • 13 years on the Southside

  • Arrives by e-bike

  • Same person, every time

Small jobs, done same-day, close to home

I get around by bike, so I stay close to home — that’s what makes quick, same-day help possible. A few things neighbors ask me for:

  • Pulling weeds
  • Clearing an alley
  • Edging the curb strip
  • Trimming hedges
  • Bagging leaves
  • Pole-sawing low branches
  • Tidying a parking spot
  • Hauling debris to the curb

Wondering if you’re in range? See the service area, or just send a request and I’ll tell you honestly if it’s a fit. Need something more technical instead? That’s my main thing.

Tell me what you need

A sentence or two is plenty. Drop a photo if it helps. No signup, no account — I’ll get right back to you.
