Where I Work

I'm based in Forest Hill & Westover Hills on Richmond's Southside. The type of work I take on (for on-site gigs) depends on how far it is from home — closer means more flexible, farther means higher-commitment engagements.

Zones are approximate. They’re sketched around what’s easily reachable by e-bike or short drive. If you’re near the edge of one, just ask — happy to make it work.
These zones only apply to on-site work. Location doesn't matter for anything I can do remotely — you can book remote tech help and software development from anywhere via my Upwork page.

Neighborhood Zone

Low-cost neighborhood gig tasks, typically up to 2 hours. This is the walk-or-bike zone — south of the river, east of the Powhite Parkway.

  • -Assembling furniture
  • -Unclogging drains
  • -Installing a new lamp or fixture
  • -Lawn work & yard cleanup
  • -Small computer fixes
  • -Checking on pets & neighbors
  • -Internet troubleshooting
  • -General handyperson tasks

Extended Area

Higher-value tasks that take several hours — enough to justify crossing the Nickel Bridge or driving across the neighborhood. These are half-day or full-afternoon engagements.

  • -A full afternoon of decluttering & organizing
  • -Deep-cleaning a garage or basement
  • -Setting up a home office
  • -Multi-room furniture assembly
  • -Network & smart-home setup
  • -Computer migration & data transfer

City

Work that goes beyond simple gig tasks — professional engagements that may become recurring. Worth the travel because they're ongoing relationships, not one-off jobs.
